I've seen someone using the same MBP like mine with a 75-cycle count but with 91% battery health. It's just going to be fighting against systems that macOS already has in place to manage the battery. However, this is only due to a disturbed battery calibration From Al Dente github page. Cycle count doesn't matter if the battery health is poor. When this happens, your Macbook might turn off with 40-50 left or your battery capacity will drop significantly.

Id recommend it to any MacBook user who wants to keep their battery in top shape. I think this is the optimal way of keeping my battery very healthy. But overall, its a great tool thats become a part of my daily Mac usage. I use my MacBook plugged in at my desk most of the time, and often for long periods, so I switched to Al Dente because Apples battery health system.

Using MBA M1 Pro as a workhorse with AlDente setup on 80% charge limit. I’ve been using Al Dente for almost the entire lifespan of my M1 MBA, which is just about 10 months, and my battery is still at 100 health, with 28 cycles on it. I work almost every day with an average of 10-14hrs staying on the laptop. My MBA has been non-stop working since I bought it from the store. Now I can say that this app really took care of my battery health!!!

Still, my disappointment with MacOS battery manager grew bigger because I feel it's not doing anything significant to manage my MPB battery health so I opted to try the AlDente free app. AlDente está diseñado para gestionar el proceso de carga de tu Macbook.
